A very late(almost 1 mth!) post of my .. 20th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION! 25th July 2009 - Saturday @ Marina barrage/home Celebrated my big 2 with my dearest polymates! It was a pretty fine day though a little fiery hot in the first 2 hours.. Everyone was practically baking under the sun just for me..haha Thanks for enduring the heat, mates! Anyway, the weather cools down not long after and it was perrfecto!  Everyone had got to bring something for the picnic and here's the list: Me - 2 mats, dslr, poloroid camera mini, 2 bottles of 1.5L green tea, some snacks, Taboo game, poker cards all into my picnic basket! Kaze - 2 bottles of 1.5L green tea, cups etc Benhao - Sandwich ingredients (prepared together with sharon) thanks girl! Kai hui - Tibits Jia qian - Donuts Cherie - she baked a cake for me :) GHP & Nic- Fruits (orange, kiwi, strawberry and green apple) And nobody brought umbrella.. LOL.  Nice hot day!  Our self-made-on-the-spot sandwich.. haha. Kaze present his sandwich to me! I loveeeee the ham!  And look at all the fruits. Majority are sour..Nice one loh ghp! lol   We should have brought kites out man.. So long never play kites already.. Though im not sure if we can make out kites fly successfull.. cause there are quite a few FAILED cases there.. HAHha.. We got to watch our heads, just in case some random kites fall from the sky.. It really happens k! Especially during night time, when you cant see their string. Suddenly, you will get strangled by some invisible string. haha   And we played TABOOOOOOO~ I still remember there's this round when it was benhao's turn, i was supposed to check on him to see if he did mention any forbidden word. And i think the word he was suppose to make them guessed out was "Hamburger" In the end, he went on to make them guess out the word "Mac donald" You understand what im saying ma? That means, he actually thought the actual word for them to guess was Mac donald! hahaha! I think cause he took a glimpse of the forbidden word la, then his mind playing trick with him..  And before the sun sets, i got to take photos with all of them before night fall man! If not, the photos would really be like crap..     Forgot to mention, since it was a saturday.. There was NDP preview at the marina bay stadium! That explains why there are so many people there on that day. We can get to see fireworks, helicopter and some other military transport etc..    And we decided to do some military salute stuff.. Haha lame.  LIONG KAIHUI! :)  All my dearest who are there for me on my birthday..THANK YOU ALL PEEPS! :)   Look at Kaihui's(in red) jumpshot! Really look like the CAREFREE advertisement right? LOL After all the photoshoots, we sat down again to play pokercards! Had a memory type of card games. Damn funny to see all the shock and halfway speech~ haha  Here's the cake cutting session.. (cake made by cherie!) Oh, and cherie's bf pop by too. hahah  Some fireworks took by benhao.. And afterwhich, we chatted, finished all the remaining food/tibits and left the barrage.. Thanks all lovelies! I truly enjoyed myself! :) *and i realised that i didnt use my poloroid camera at all! wah laooooooo... Anyway, next stop: My lovely house. Family celebrating for me! But sadly, both my sisters couldnt make it back home in time to celebrate for me.. It's okay though. Their reasons are acceptable.. younger sis end work at 11pm and older sister got to attend her friend's wedding dinner..  Steffy bought for me all the wonderful cakes from GLAZE! (her workplace) Super love it!  Me and my lovely parents..  My ever cute grandma and cousins! :) My face super chui from the picnic trip. haha 6th August 2009 - Din tai feng My girls celebrated my belated birthday on this day.. Had a nice meal, but too bad lurvies got to leave early for work and cinda can't make it cause i think she got work.. Oh well, settled our cravings for xiaolongbao that night..*thumbs up! After that, me sarah and hazel headed down to CANELE for some desserts! And i consider that as my birthday cake with them.. hahaha.. Quite sad ar, my birthday celebration turns out to be so short.. But still, thanks for coming down for me.. :)  7th August 2009 @ pizza bar Secondary school mates gatherings cum my 20th birthday celebration.. Had a rare guests - which is Mr chow! haha and of course our usual Mr lee !   All the botaks and one soon-to-be .. Seriously, shu! your eyes got problem..  I quite like the ambience there though. Quite a no of foreigners dining in.. But i think we are making such a din that we sounded like as if we are at some kopitiam. LOL No choice lah, the table so long, got to talk damn loud for the other party to hear us..    wahh.. CHEESE AND MORE CHEESE PIZZA! SUPER LOVES!   And my surprise birthday celebration.. haa. Thanks for the cake, card and the present!    In the end, our dinner was settled by mr chow.. woo it's a huge bill. THANKS Mr chow!  And some of us went to The Tea Party for some chilling time and midnight movie after that.. Thanks to all those that have WISHED me (via sms/facebook/msn) and of course those that celebrated for me.. KAM SA HA MI DA(which means thank you in korean) :) I wonder if there's any changes i should make to myself since im stepping into another whole new decade.. hmm.. Maybe i should step out more and have more confidence in myself. I should seriously start to try new things alrdy. haa. but im not sure what yet. i dont know.. i dont know.. People who are using Singnet will have the problems we are facing. And here's the solution to solve it!! (found out by others) (This only works for IE) -Tools -> Internet Options -Click on "Connections" page tab -Click on "LAN Settings" button (if you are using Broadband) -Check "Use a proxy server for your LAN ..." checkbox -PLUS uncheck the other 2 options on top -Click on "Advanced" button -Under HTTP type, input "proxy.singnet.com.sg" for proxy address and "8080" for port (and it should work after you refresh your page!) (For firefox people) - Try pressing [ctrl] and hold it, followed by pressing F5 once. WOOOO.. LIKE FINALLY! And i have just uploaded some photos to the previous post regarding the blogshop. After work, i went to meet my family for dinner at vivo's Imperial Herbal Restaurant. It's not as good as i thought it would be. Haa.. But, still okay la.. After dinner, i went to catch HANGOVER with GHP,nic, kaze, benhao and sharon at ILUMA. It's FREAKING HILARIOUS, i tell you. SOOOOOOOOOOOO FUNNY PLS. I totally love this show. period. Went to eat Tau huey at Selegie, discussed a little on the upcoming events. Left the place. Cab back to nic's place, and he drove us back again. Thanks man! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY!! I have been sourcing for items needed for my boss of my recently-got-job. Got kaze and stef to accompany me on this project. After that, stef and me went for a much needed KBOX session. And we left at around 7pm. Splitted. I headed down to JE to meet Benhao and sharon. Went Chevron for our friend SHIYING's 21st birthday chalet! Was quite shock to see a chalet in a country club, really. HAHA. To our surprise, it's really very nice! Very clean and new! Totally love it! It's 2 storey, fully equipped with strong air-con, flat screen tv and a very comfy bed! They have swimming pools, jackpot room, karaoke room, Bar(very cheap beer), and a bowling alley! Very worth it i feel. Heard from Shiying that it costs only $130 for 2 day 1 night. CHEAP! Anyway, she has got a huge 2 layered lychee(i think)cake which GHP is envied of. HAHAH! Love the cream.. Mmmmm Went to the jackpot room to try some luck(Sy's mom just won 600bucks by playing that man!). But, seems like we arnt getting any luck at all. LOL. In the end, a total of $36 were lost after we entered that room for about 30mins. Went back to the chalet, decided to play a round of MJ. Luck was super down. Lost all my chips! HAHAHA.. omg.. But, we only play to a max $7.80 nia. Sooo.. In the end, nic was the biggest winner. Okay la, i lost to him also good, can repay him for the rides back home. After that, we cab down to bukit timah for supper. They had TIAN JI ZHOU (frog porridge).. I had green tea, very nice tofu and porridge.
